Dermaplaning is a technique which our medical estheticians use a small implement to manually slough off dead skin cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz). This process leaves the skin looking bright, smooth, and soft. It also allows for better penetration of home care products. Dermaplanes are ideal for those with rough, dry skin, rough skin, uneven skin, superficial brown spots, mild acne scars, or fine lines. Upgrade your dermaplane by adding a foaming enzyme mask, a retinol treatment or a chemical peel for better results. The enzyme mask helps to loosen up dead skin cells allowing for a more aggressive treatment. Retinol is an excellent finish to the dermaplane because it is great for both anti-aging and acne control. It rapidly turns over skin cells which helps stimulate collagen and/or clear clogged pores. Chemical peel will help with the peeling process and to get an extra deep exfoliation and release the damaged pigmentation and fine lines faster.
